Rovio to Debut Angry Birds Cartoon

Parents of Angry Birds-lovers, this is the moment you have all been waiting for! You have the Angry Birds pajamas, the fruit snacks, the plush piggies, and probably every other Angry Bird-themed child product on the market. Now, Rovio, the Angry Birds developers, will be releasing 52 episodes of a brand new Angry Birds cartoon. That’s one episode every week, for a whole year! Mattel’s Angry Birds King Pig Review – It’s Not Easy Being Green

Since its initial, earth-shattering release, Angry Birds has done more evolving than Madonna over the past 3 decades. There are about 3,479 themed versions of the original game, the story from the pigs’ points of view, and every kind of branded merchandise you can imagine. It’s only natural now given the overexposure to the phenom that is the Angry Birds franchise that it takes something new and innovative to catch my attention – something like King Pig. The concept behind this crossover toy from Mattel is theoretically simple: Make something that could be used for tactile, real play and also something that can be used interactively with a popular and well-known app. My son passed through the toy aisle and was inexplicably drawn to the goofy green pig in a box shouting, “Look Mom! A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, there was someone who has never heard about Angry Birds. I’m pretty sure that everyone in the Milky Way knows exactly why those little birds are so darn mad, and why those piggies are smirking. After all, there have been several versions of the game released since the original as well as the recent Bad Piggies game which shows the “other side” of the story.
