My 3-year-old hates anything that makes her hands dirty and avoids activities that make a mess. This means that she refuses to fingerpaint, which is pretty much a rite of preschool passage. For Mother’s Day her class made adorable handprint cards and her teachers told me that my card had a hand-drawn picture instead because they couldn’t get her to stop screaming about getting her hands in paint. “Don’t make that face, it’ll stick like that!” Your mom must have said that to you a million times, right? It’s not true but I bet you uncrossed your eyes and relaxed your puckered mouth. If you’re as gullible as I am it wasn’t until you had kids of your own before you realized that your mom was wrong, and little kids making funny faces is actually pretty entertaining. The developers behind Party Face! think so too. Using a range of faces and features the app allows kids to customize their artwork, from eyebrows to chin. Doodle Learning Times Table Review – Fun, Multiplied

I hate math. I’m already working on an exit strategy for when my kids ask me for help with multiplication homework in a few years. While I’m baring my soul, I might as well admit that when it comes to times tables, I only know the “ones” and the “nines”. For everything else I use my cell phone calculator. Let’s face it though: Multiplication is a skill that’s used daily and Doodle Times Table helps teach that skill to young kids in a fun, creative way. Memollow Coloring Pages App Review – Let’s Go Van Gogh

I recently started a craft project that involves different colors of permanent markers. Of course my children discovered my rainbow stash, and my daughter absconded with the neon pink marker.
