iPad App Review: Clangers – Playtime Planet

There’s something about watching BBC World News that just makes me feel smarter and instantly more stoic. Maybe it’s the accent, maybe it’s the British sensibility – if I have a choice, I’ll choose BBC news over American channels any day. I’ve also enjoyed learning about British life through BBC serial programming and the British soaps the channel airs. (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve replaced American profanity with a cheeky British term just to sound worldly and sophisticated.) What I didn’t realize until I had children was that there is some seriously awesome BBC programming for kids. Of course Thomas the Engine was created across the pond and I’ve watched more of those episodes than I would willingly admit. Who can forget the Teletubbies phenomenon of the 90’s?
