“Why yes, small children, please enter my kitchen and explore my appliances thoroughly, especially while I am cooking food!” Have you ever spoken these words aloud? Yeah, neither have I. The thought of my two young kids being within a mile of the kitchen while I’m cooking makes me want to order pizza for the next 10 years. Mini-U: The Kitchen lets little players explore the kitchen – safely. It’s a collection of 6 mini-games that center around different (virtual) appliances, and the games help teach early learning while offering intuitive game play. Retro graphics add a fun and unique twist to the games, and adorable sound effects keep kids engaged. The six mini-games are represented on the home screen by doodles of appliances. SquiggleFish: iPad Camera Technology Brings Artwork To Life

If you visit iPad Kids regularly, you probably already know that we strive to stay on top of the new, different and fun things that come out of the children’s app industry. So naturally, when I come across something that has not been done before, I get super excited to tell you all about it! We’ve all seen art oriented coloring apps,and we all know how much kids LOVE to draw. We’ve seen iPad easels and crayon stylus‘ and everything in between. But what if the pictures that your child draws on real, physical paper, could come to life on the iPad screen? Amazingly enough, a new app released on May 1st called ‘SquiggleFish’ makes that happen! Berry Forest App Review – Pick This Juicy Game

During the long, cold months of winter, when the snow is up to my eyeballs and I can’t remember the last time I felt my frozen toes, I try to look forward to the joys of summer. What comes to mind is sunshine and swimming pools, and big, juicy summer berries. (Talk to me in July, and then I’ll be complaining about the sweltering heat and wishing for winter.) The Berry Forest app is almost like a virtual produce stand for the iPad. Featuring a cast of four plump berries, this playful app offers easy and open-ended game play perfect for the 2+ crowd.
